Fuck you Harper.

Fuck you Harper. You are a hypocrite.
Let's review past Conservative party lapses in judgement:
-Some of Mr. Mulroney's closest friends were apparently the main beneficiaries of the BRE-X scam.
-The Airbus scandal.
-Free Trade.
-Implemented the GST, after promising not to raise taxes.
I don't like the Conservative platform and it's intolerant views. They have screwed us in the past. We are still feeling the effects of that vicious reaming today. We've come to accept it sadly. Now the Liberals are caught with their pants down stuffing wads of bills in to the g-strings of questionable and largely fraudulent companies.
What choices do we have now? With todays defection of Conservative MP Belinda Stronach to the Liberal camp. As the house sits now it's 152 votes for the Conservative/Bloc axis of evil and 152 votes for the Liberal/NDP axis of desperation (This includes independant Carolyn Parrish who has thrown her vote in with them). We have 2 independents (David Kilgour and Chuck Cadman) and a Liberal House Speaker Peter Milliken. This makes our current government useless and the only reason anything is getting done at all is because of deals and alliances of convenience. The NDP has done some nice maneuvering to get their budget tabled... blah blah blah.
Our choices are a party that screwed us before, one that is screwing us now, a party that wants to split from the coutry and a party that has never been in power. I'll be damned if I know who I will be voting for. I just know it won't be for your party Mr. Harper. You've all but crippled our government for months in an attemot at a power grab.

Is that why you don't vote?

Since I have been 18 I only missed 1 vote. Recently I have become more interested in Canadian politics... mainly because it blows me away that Canadians have 4 parties with seats in parliament. We have more "real" choices than the US yet we have no choices. The closest to a party that seems to care about the voters on a more personal level is the NDP. However that would be like promoting a trainee to manager as far as I'm concerned. They will end up in power due to attrition.

any political party is always trying a power grab. that's what they do. the conservatives are not any different for it. and as it happens, it appears it was appropriate.
why bestow your venom on conservatives? you admit the liberals are just as bad? yet you seeth at the conservatives for cacthing the liberals in the same conduct that you hate the conservatives for?

I'm not defending liberals... it's more like I'm lamenting the lack of choices for the voters...
